Veterinary Technical Advisor - Equine
Are you an equine vet or technical specialist looking to progress into a more commercially orientated role?
A rare and unique opportunity, working for a global leader in the equine industry has become available for the right individual.This highly respected business with a rich history in the sector is looking for an Equine Veterinary Technical Advisor to manage key breeding and racing accounts.
In this role you will be using your knowledge, experience and connections in the equine industry to maintain and grow strong relationships with top studs and racing yards. If successful you would be a key member of the business working with the technical and sales teams to develop a clear strategic plan for business development and growth. Responsible for identifying strategic business pathways and new areas for the business, you will use strong communication skills and technical knowledge to be an ambassador for the brand. This role offers fantastic opportunities to the right candidate.
The role is open to equine vets and technical specialists with commercial experience.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage existing accounts with high professionalism and customer service.
- Work with company directors to develop sales strategies and focus areas for the sales team.
- Represent the business across the racing and breeding sectors.
- Be the main contact for technical enquiries for key accounts.
- Travel around Newmarket and Lambourn at least twice weekly, visiting current and prospective clients.
Requirements:
- Extensive veterinary or technical experience in the equine industry, specifically racing and breeding.
- Proven commercial experience.
- Knowledge of the racing and breeding industry would be a significant advantage.
- A strong strategic and analytical mindset.
- A proactive and problem-solving approach to your work.
- A driving license and a willingness to travel.
Remuneration:
- £52-60k (depending on the experience of the right candidate)
- 3-6% performance-based bonus every six months
