This two-day course is specifically designed to support veterinary professionals seeking to develop or enhance their leadership skills. Through a deep dive into the fundamentals of leadership, participants will cultivate successful leadership styles that not only enhance team performance but also prioritise team wellbeing.
Each delegate will have the opportunity to explore their own leadership style and gain insight into overcoming common challenges experienced when leading veterinary teams. The course offers a comprehensive exploration of leadership and includes culture, teamwork, communication, and personal empowerment, all tailored to the unique context of the veterinary profession.
Through interactive sessions and practical exercises, participants will gain valuable insights and tools to elevate their leadership effectiveness and promote a positive work environment in veterinary practice.

Introduction to leadership and 'Being Human' - explore different leadership styles and your understanding of yourself.
Communication for leaders - communication fundamentals, why errors occur and quick wins.
Dealing with conflict, incivility and difficult conversations.
Creating teams and curating culture - how can we enhance our teams to deliver exceptional patient care?
Priority management, decision making and resilience in leadership.
NB: this course is suitable for both vets and vet nurses in a leadership role
