A friendly and well-established small animal practice in Sutton Coldfield is seeking an experienced locum veterinarian to join their team. This role offers a great opportunity for a vet looking to work in a supportive, caring environment with a varied caseload. The practice is looking for a locum who is confident with routine consultations and operations, and enjoys a busy, varied day.
Role Details:
- Location: Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands
- Dates: Ongoing locum position (4 days a week)
- Working Days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
- Working Hours: 9:00 am – 7:00 pm
- Rate: Up to £475 per day, depending on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine consultations and provide treatment plans for a wide range of small animal patients
- Perform routine surgeries and procedures
- Manage a varied caseload including medical and surgical cases
- Provide excellent client communication and customer service
- Work collaboratively with the friendly and experienced team, including veterinary nurses and support staff
- Ensure high standards of clinical care and patient welfare at all times
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Veterinary Surgeon (MRCVS)
- Previous experience in small animal practice, with confidence in handling routine consultations and surgeries
- A passion for delivering high-quality care to both patients and clients
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and an empathetic approach to client care
