We’re seeking a Hospital Manager to oversee a large, dynamic veterinary hospital, ensuring exceptional care for both patients and clients. About the Role:
This full-time, on-site role is Monday to Friday, with occasional management on-call duties for urgent queries. No on-site attendance required for on-call.
As Hospital Manager, you’ll work closely with senior veterinary leaders, including the Head Vet, Head Nurse, and Senior Clinical Team, to ensure smooth hospital operations. You’ll lead a large team, including:
✔ 24 Vets
✔ 30 RVNs
✔ 14 SVNs & 7 VCAs
✔ A dedicated front-of-house team
Your role will require strong leadership, excellent communication, and strategic decision-making to navigate the complexities of managing a busy hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Foster a collaborative, supportive team environment
✔ Drive operational and financial success of the hospital
✔ Oversee general practice management, including stock control, rota planning, and absence management
✔ Lead and support the reception team, ensuring exceptional client service and handling complaints and debt management
✔ Recruit and onboard new team members, working closely with HR
✔ Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, using strong problem-solving skills
The hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including a CT scanner, commercial laboratory, advanced surgical suite, and a dedicated night team for 24/7 patient care. You’ll be part of a leading veterinary hospital that serves as a referral centre for complex cases in the surrounding area.
