We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a talented Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our client’s welcoming and supportive team. This position is to cover maternity leave for up to one year, with the possibility of a permanent role as the practice continues to expand. This friendly, long-standing team with diverse interests in orthopaedics, medicine, imaging, behaviour, dental care, and more are ready to support you and encourage any special areas of interest you may have. This clinic is within commuting distance to both Dartmoor and the coast as well as well-equipped with a multi-monitor unit, ultrasound, bronchoscope, dental x-ray, laparoscopy, and in-house laboratory for biochemistry and haematology work. This role offers a great work/life balance as nurses are not required to work nights or be on call.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for and required to
- Provide high-quality nursing care to all patients.
- Assist veterinarians in surgery and with medical procedures.
- Conduct laboratory work, including biochemistry and haematology.
- Support and mentor junior staff and students as needed.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
This is a Full-Time role working 37.5 hours a week over 4 days with a rolling Rota for the occasional Saturday until 3pm.
