JR has an opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse who is passionate about high clinical standards and exceptional customer care to join our client’s friendly and supportive team. This nursing team is currently dedicated to small animal nursing, so no experience in large animal care is necessary, although there may be opportunities to assist on the large animal side if desired. The clinic is RCVS accredited to General Practice standard for Small Animal, Farm, and Equine care and is an ISFM Silver accredited cat-friendly practice who pride themselves on high clinical standards and exceptional customer care. The clinic is a 2-site practice located in beautiful East Yorkshire, with one site close to a busy city centre and the other in a lovely village on the outskirts, offering a perfect mix of rural and city life.
The successful candidate will be responsible for and required to
- Participating in regular nurse clinics and performing schedule 3 procedures where confident.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Rotating between theatre, circulatory nurse, inpatient care, and consulting to ensure variety and job satisfaction
- Providing exceptional patient and client care.
- Assisting in the training and mentoring of student veterinary nurses.
- Experienced in small animal nursing.
This is a Permanent, Full-Time role working 37.5 hours, 7.5 hour shifts between the hours of 8am and 7pm Monday – Friday. Weekends are worked on a 1:7 rota, 8am to 4pm Saturday and 9am to 4pm Sunday with a day off in lieu and overtime paid for the Sunday.
This role offers a salary up to £28,000 DOE including a range of benefits including
