Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team in Fareham.
About our client:
Our client has an established practice which celebrated its 20th year in 2020. They are a friendly, small animal first opinion practice and have a team consisting of 4 veterinary surgeons with varying levels of experience who are supported by seven registered veterinary nurses, two student veterinary nurses, two veterinary care assistants, seven receptionists, and a practice manager.
The practice is built to industry-leading standards and includes standard and dental digital radiography, ultrasonography, endoscopy, four consulting rooms, individual cat and dog wards, isolation room and an onsite operating theatre.
The ideal candidate must:
- Have a minimum of 3 years of practice experience
- Have excellent customer care, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Be computer literate
- Be able to work under pressure, solve problems and work independently
- Be self-motivated and hardworking
Duties & Responsibilities include:
- Admissions and discharges
- Monitoring ops
- Inpatient care
- Delivering clinics (on weight, dental care, puppy and kitten care and diabetes)
- Consulting
- Measuring blood pressure
- Blood sampling
- Supporting vets
- Pharmacy work
- Clinical coach training will be provided to support regular student placements
Hours
The position is based on an average 40-hour week with a 1 in 4 weekend shift pattern. Typical working hours will be:
- Monday – Friday: shifts between 08h00 – 19h30
- Saturdays: 08h00 – 18h00
- Sundays: 10h00 – 16h00 (closed on Sundays for the foreseeable future)
