Are you an experienced Veterinary Nurse with leadership skills ready to take the next step? Our client is looking for a Head Nurse to lead and inspire the nursing team at their busy Southampton surgery.
As Head Nurse, you will be responsible for managing a talented team of 7 RVNs, 2 student nurses, and a VCA, while remaining hands-on with clinical duties. You’ll work closely with the Head Vet and Client Experience Manager to ensure the smooth running of the surgery, providing top-quality care for patients and clients alike. This is a key role in driving and supporting the team forward, maintaining clinical excellence and operational efficiency.
This is a full-time position, working 4 days per week with a 1 in 4 weekend rotation (Saturday & Sunday).
Up to £39,000 DOE
In addition, you'll enjoy 20 days annual leave and a competitive CPD allowance, giving you plenty of time and resources to continue growing in your career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the nursing team to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Oversee clinical standards, maintaining best practices across the surgery.
- Work collaboratively with the Head Vet and Client Experience Manager to manage daily operations.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to your team, including two student nurses.
- Maintain a balance between clinical duties and leadership responsibilities.
