The Role:
This is either a full-time or part-time role on a Fixed-term contract for 1 year, with the possibility of extending. The role includes 1 in 3 weekends and no OOH. You will need to be a dynamic and proactive nurse with solid all-around skills. Your role will involve a good mix of consults, inpatient care and theatre work and their nurses also carry out schedule 3 procedures allowing you to enhance your clinical skills.
You will help with the daily running of the practice to ensure a high standard of care for patients and clients. Nurses are the heart of their practice and perform an integral clinical role in caring for our patients. You must be comfortable with leading by example, have great communication and organisation skills and take pride in working to a high standard. You will have an interest in and want to learn about, the practice as a business, as well as how to motivate a team to achieve their personal and practice goals. Ideally, you will have experience in a Head Nurse role, managing a team and enjoy coaching and mentoring nurses and student nurses. Key to your success will be your ability to embrace all aspects of the Veterinary Nurse role, delivering excellent patient and client care. You will be a strong team leader and will take full responsibility for the day-to-day operations in the practice alongside a supportive management team.
