About The Role
Our client is not directly hiring with a vacancy, however, they are open to hearing from nurses as they are a fast-growing practice and always open to hearing from potential applicants.
Facilities
The clinic is very busy and well-established within the community, hence the need for an additional RVN to join their fantastic team of nurses. They have recently undergone a huge refurbishment and have plans to develop even more. It is a well-equipped surgery with all of the usual equipment that you would expect to find in a first-opinion practice.
Caseload
The practice has a busy and interesting caseload where no day is the same, and they try to not refer many cases and treat them in-house. They have an advanced practitioner surgeon who comes in regularly and visits dental specialists to ensure their patients are being treated to the highest standards. They see a variety of patients (60% dogs, 40% cats) with a few exotics and rabbits, as well as working with a few charities around their practice locally.
Ideal Candidate
Their ideal candidate is a nurse who is willing to get stuck into the varied caseload and thrives in a busy first opinion practice. They will want to get stuck into the surgical side of things and improve nursing care throughout the practice even further. Development in their practice is key, and so they love hearing new ideas for their team to how they could better improve their practice, and therefore they are looking for someone who is keen to assist with this.
The Rota
This role is ideally full time working 4 days per week with a Wednesday/Thursday off during the week, however, they are open to negotiating the rota and can be flexible for the right candidate. Saturday mornings (9 am – 12 pm) are worked on a rota basis currently 1 in 3 but soon to be 1 in 4.
The Team
The long-standing team are close-knit and works well together to ensure the practice runs smoothly. They all get along with one another and really are a family! Therefore it is really important to them that any new team members fit in well with the team and will work well within a team and independently. The team consists of going to be 3.5 vets, 4 nurses, 3.5 receptionists.
