My client is seeking a Lead Veterinary Nurse to join their team at a practice that prides itself on exceptional patient care and a strong collaborative environment.
About the Practice
The practice boasts a fantastic nursing/support team, including experienced qualified nurses, student nurses, and dedicated receptionists. It is offering a feline-friendly environment with separate cat and dog waiting rooms, wards, consult rooms, and isolation areas.
The facility is well-equipped with:
- A dedicated dental suite with dental X-ray.
- Full in-house laboratory with Idexx analysers.
- Endoscopic and laparoscopic equipment.
- Digital X-ray and ultrasound.
Responsibilities
As a Lead Veterinary Nurse, you will:
- Provide clinical leadership to the nursing team.
- Deliver exceptional patient and client care consistently.
- Support surgeries and procedures, handling pre- and post-operative responsibilities.
- Lead and promote nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 surgeries.
- Oversee patient monitoring, admissions, and discharges in collaboration with the veterinary team.
- Dispense and check medications.
- Engage, coach, and develop your team.
Your Skills and Experience
- RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse.
- Proven experience delivering outstanding patient and client care.
- Confident in leading and mentoring a clinical team.
