Salary : Up to £80,000 depending on experience, plus benefits and allowances
Hours: 40 hours over 4 days per week; 1:3 Saturday mornings; on-call duties as required.
About You:
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Clinical Director to join our client’s bustling small animal hospital in Windsor. As a Clinical Director, you will be instrumental in providing leadership and direction to their veterinary team, ensuring the continuation of gold standard clinical care for their patients. You will be:
- A qualified Veterinary Surgeon with significant experience in a similar leadership role.
- Registered with the RCVS
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to the veterinary team with their clinical cases, ensuring the highest standards of care.
- Work in partnership with the Practice Manager & Head Nurse to implement best practice protocols across the nursing team whilst ensuring a well-organized practice schedule
- Help to guide and shape the practice’s ongoing future success.
- Perform both surgeries and consults as part of the weekly rota.
- Oversee the professional development of a talented team of 7 Veterinary Surgeons and a robust nursing team.
- Contribute to a collaborative working environment, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Day-to-Day Duties Include:
- Providing mentorship and support in decision-making processes.
- Participating in on-call rotation to oversee the care of hospitalised inpatients. (approx. 1 day a week)
- Collaborating with the nursing and support staff to ensure cohesive practice operations.
- A passion for delivering high standards of clinical care.
- A commitment to continuous professional development.
The Team:
- 7 Veterinary Surgeons working an equivalent of 4.5 full-time vets. Our client will consider a Part Time candidate for this position too)
- 2 Certificate holders (one in surgery and one in medicine) within the vet team.
- 10 nurses, including 8 RVNs and 3 students.
- 5 support staff members, including a Practice Manager and reception/admin teams.
