We are working with a fantastic small animal practice in Cambridgeshire that is currently seeking a Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. This is a great opportunity for a vet looking to step into a leadership role or continue developing their skills in a supportive and well-equipped environment.
The practice is multi-vet with a loyal client base and a varied caseload. Facilities include digital x-rays, ultrasound, dental suite, multiparametric monitor, in-house lab, and separate consult rooms and theatre space.
As Lead Vet, you will take clinical responsibility for the practice, with the autonomy to manage your team and the support of a wider clinical network as needed. The role includes both surgical and medical responsibilities, with a focus on high standards of patient care and mentoring the team around you.
🗓 Working Pattern:
- 4-day week
- No out-of-hours
- Currently no weekend rota
- Open to part-time applications
🌍 Relocation and Visa Support:
Relocation support is available for candidates moving over 60 miles or internationally. Visa sponsorship can also be supported where applicable. A welcome bonus is offered upon joining.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional care to patients and clients during consultations and procedures
- Ensure compliance with clinical and operational standards
- Support and develop the clinical team
- Collaborate with the practice manager to optimise commercial performance
- Promote and implement best practice standards
Candidate Requirements:
- RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon
- Strong clinical skills and a team-oriented mindset
- Comfortable in a leadership role with a passion for mentoring others
- Experience in general practice with a commitment to continuous development
