Experienced/Newly Qualified Vet Surgeon – Northwich, Cheshire
My client is seeking a new veterinary surgeon to join their growing team at their independent hospital. Ideally, candidates will have a minimum of one year's experience, though they are open to considering less. The right candidate will be passionate about patient care, a good team player, and enthusiastic, proactive, and motivated to provide high-quality first opinion services. My client offers consistent support and opportunities for professional growth, including encouragement for post-graduate qualifications.
Vets enjoy a four-day work week plus two days off in lieu for working a weekend (Saturday and Sunday 8am – 5pm). The rota is currently 1:8. They use a dedicated out-of-hours provider for on-call services, but the RVN team cares for inpatients, with the hospital staffed 24/7. Vets share responsibility for the inpatients on a 1:8 nights basis.
The team consists of eight vets, which includes Advanced Practitioners in Anaesthesia, ECC, and Medicine, as well as a diplomat orthopaedic surgeon. The practice also benefits from the expertise of visiting specialist vets in Soft Tissue Surgery, Cardiology, and Diagnostic Imaging. This collaboration allows them to provide an exceptional standard of care to all patients and offers the team the opportunity to work on interesting and challenging cases.
