An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join our client’s welcoming team at a well-established, RCVS accredited small animal practice on The Wirral Peninsular . Known for their friendly environment and dedicated client service, they pride themselves on maintaining a loyal client base who trust us with the care of their beloved pets.
Role Overview:
Our client is seeking a confident and autonomous professional who is comfortable taking sole charge and committed to delivering the highest standards of clinical care across two branches. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the team, contributing to the provision of excellent first opinion services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering a mixture of consultations, routine surgeries, and medical workups.
- Providing top-quality veterinary care and maintaining the welfare of animals.
- Working effectively as a lone practitioner when required.
- Engaging with clients, offering educational advice and support.
- Contributing to the growth and reputation of the practice.
Requirements:
- Qualification as a Veterinary Surgeon (MRCVS) and permission to work in the UK.
- Ability to work independently with confidence and initiative.
- Strong commitment to animal welfare and clinical excellence.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to cover a variety of shifts to meet the needs of our clients.

- A competitive salary of up to £63,000 (pro-rata for part-time).
- Funded CPD allowance of £1250 per annum.
- Generous annual leave of 6.6 weeks plus a day off for your birthday.

- Pension contributions of 5% from the employer and 3% from the employee.
- Working in a practice currently on an exciting expansion journey.
Schedule:
- A 12-month contract basis.
- 25 hours work week covering Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings.
The Team:
- Work collaboratively with 4 Veterinary Surgeons (3 FTE) and a supportive team of 3 Registered Veterinary Nurses and experienced Veterinary Care Assistants.
