We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Surgeon to join our team, working primarily with small animals. This role offers flexibility with full-time, part-time, and flexible working options available. The Role
- Position: Veterinary Surgeon - Small Animal
- Hours: 4-day work week with a dedicated day off, 2 in 5 Saturday mornings. Various shift patterns include:
- 8 am - 6 pm or 8.30 am - 7 pm at the hospital
- 9 am - 6.30 pm at a branch
- Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality medical, surgical, and dental care to small animals.
- Conduct thorough consultations, diagnostics, and treatments.
- Perform routine and complex surgeries with a focus on patient safety and well-being.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners, offering advice and support.
- Collaborate with veterinary nurses and support staff to ensure optimal patient care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to practice protocols and RCVS guidelines.
- Participate in continuous professional development (CPD) to keep up-to-date with advancements in veterinary medicine.
Skills and Experience
- Qualifications: Degree in Veterinary Medicine and registered with the RCVS.
- Experience: Experience in small animal practice is preferred, but confident and capable new graduates are welcome to apply.
