Located in the scenic mid-Cornwall area, our client is looking for an experienced equine vet to join their expanding team. With proximity to beautiful beaches and countryside, as well as convenient transport links, this practice offers a supportive and dynamic work environment enriched by a close-knit team that enjoys both hard work and social activities. They are seeking an equine vet with at least 2 years of experience to engage in both ambulatory and hospital-based work. The role encompasses first opinion and occasional referral cases. You will be supported by an experienced internal medicine certificate holder and a vet working towards a dentistry certificate. The clinic offers fantastic facilities including 8 stables in an American barn, including a dedicated colic/foal stable with CCTV, Separate isolation stable, 2 paddocks, hard and soft lounge areas and a large concrete yard for lameness workups as well as stocks room, consult room, diagnostics room, knockdown and full theatre facilities. You will also have access to Advanced equipment including portable and ceiling-mounted x-ray equipment, portable ultrasound, gastroscope and endoscope and 3 power floats for dentistry and gait analysis. This Veterinary team is complemented by a dedicated group of equine-only professionals including nurses, admin staff, and grooms. They emphasize a supportive and collaborative work culture, with opportunities for social activities outside of work, such as dog walks, theatre trips, dinners, and afternoon teas. Currently, they have 4 vets, 3 Equine nurses, 2 Admins and 2 Grooms with plans to expand to 6 Vets by hiring an experienced vet and a new graduate. There are also monthly visits from an Equine surgeon who not only performs advanced procedures but also upskills the team. This is a Permanent, Full-Time role working 4 days a week with a fixed day off and 1:7 OOH (Rota).
