We’re working with a fantastic, locally-owned independent veterinary practice based in stunning West Cornwall, and they’re looking to welcome an experienced and compassionate Veterinary Surgeon to their close-knit team.

🏥 About the Practice

Owned and run by an experienced vet (CertAVP, RCVS), this small animal practice opened its doors in 2018 and has gone from strength to strength. With a strong focus on clinical excellence and team wellbeing, the practice has achieved ISFM Silver Cat Friendly and RAW Silver Rabbit Friendly awards, as well as being an RCVS-accredited small animal practice.

You’ll find a full range of modern equipment and a caseload to match – from routine GP to more complex medicine and surgery. But what really sets this practice apart is the team culture – collaborative, friendly, and genuinely caring, with a high nurse-to-vet ratio and everyone’s input valued.

👥 The Team

The team is led by a supportive clinical director and includes skilled RVNs who utilise their full range of skills, including Schedule 3 procedures. They’re supported by student nurses, VCAs, experienced client care staff, and a hands-on practice manager.

This is a team that works hard, supports one another, and knows how to have a laugh along the way – from regular team meetings to social events.

🩺 The Role

Due to the relocation of a current vet, this is a great opportunity for an experienced small animal vet to step into a well-rounded GP role. The caseload is varied, the pace is steady, and the approach is quality over quantity.

• Balanced mix of consults and surgery

• 15-minute standard consults, with longer appointments where needed

• Salary up to £65,000, depending on experience
