JR is seeking a Head Veterinary Surgeon to join our client’s team in Dorset. As Head Veterinary Surgeon, you would be leading a team of five veterinarians within a larger practice of 50 dedicated staff members across two locations. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering the growth and development of the team, ensuring that they continue to provide the highest levels of clinical care. This role requires someone who is forward-thinking and can drive clinical excellence, embracing new techniques, technologies, and advancements in veterinary care.
The practice is equipped with modern diagnostic tools, including digital x-rays, ultrasound, and endoscopy, allowing you and your team to work with cutting-edge technology to deliver top-notch veterinary care. The caseload is varied, which offers the opportunity for growth and exposure to a wide range of cases, making it an engaging and stimulating environment for the team. There is also a strong emphasis on continuing professional development, with support for further studies and qualifications, encouraging the team to pursue their interests and specializations.
This is a permanent, full-time role working 40 hours a week with 1:5 Saturdays. However, our client is happy to consider a part-time role or flexible hours for the right candidate so please do let us know your preferences.
