Vet Match are delighted to be working with a Mixed Animal Veterinary practice who are seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join in with making a meaningful impact in both small animal and farm animal care. (approximately 60% small animal and 40% farm animal work) Join this buzzy and experienced 12 Vets, a TB tester, 7 RVNs and an amazing team of SVNs, Receptionists and support crew.Embrace the opportunity to work in this beautiful historic town, surrounded by stunning coastal attractions and only an hour from Bristol, Bath, and Exeter with a direct train link to London With a shift pattern of 40 hours per week and a weekend rota including only 1 in 3 Saturday mornings with no out-of-hours work, you'll enjoy a healthy work-life balance and the opportunity to explore the surrounding natural wonders and cultural attractions.
- Opportunity to work in a truly mixed practice, focusing on small animal consultations, diagnostics, and surgery alongside farm animal duties including fertility work and emergency calls.
- Brand new, fully equipped site featuring dedicated small animal and farm theatres, imaging room, in-house lab, 4 consult rooms, a separate car and dog waiting areas, dental suite including x-ray, imaging room (with ultrasound, endoscopy and brand new DR digital x-ray machine
- Large animal scanners, bull/ram fertility kit, a theatre and farm recovery pen.
- Member of the Royal College with a veterinary medicines degree.
- Proficiency in small animal consults and basic surgery, alongside confidence in attending most day-to-day farm calls.
- Comfortable and adept in handling both small and farm animals.
- Ability to contribute positively to our practice's collaborative, nurturing culture and participate in farmer meetings and charity events.
