Our client is seeking an experienced veterinary surgeon, either full-time or part-time, to join their friendly, community-oriented standalone practice situated in the charming market town of Stourbridge.
This presents a significant opportunity to collaborate with an experienced practice owner and veterinary surgeon, with potential progression into a partnership role if desired.
They are in search of a veterinarian with robust small animal experience acquired as a general practitioner, coupled with exceptional interpersonal skills. While specialist interests and postgraduate qualifications are welcomed and supported, they are not prerequisites for the role.
Whether one's preference lies in surgery or medicine, the practice is open to discussing a role involving consults only, or one that encompasses surgery, with regular sessions available. Encouragement for following through on cases is provided, with ample support readily available.
Ensuring exceptional care for their patients and clients hinges on an outstanding team, with the wellbeing of their staff prioritised. The practice encourages and supports timely departures, offering protected early finishes. Adequate lunch breaks, along with admin time, are incorporated into their rotas. Weekend responsibilities entail a shared 1:3 rotation on Saturdays, with no work on Sundays or bank holidays. Additionally, one day off during the week is provided. A fixed rotating rota, structured on a six-week pattern, facilitates advance planning of time off. Various working hours and rota patterns can be considered, accommodating diverse needs such as childcare arrangements, caregiving responsibilities, or personal well-being.
In addition to a fulfilling role in a picturesque setting, prospective candidates can anticipate:
- Salary up to £55,000 DOE.
- No out-of-hours or Sunday work.
- Saturday mornings with a 1:3 finish at 12:30.
- Monday to Friday finishes at 18:00.
- 25 days holiday plus pro-rata bank holidays.
- Paid professional memberships (RCVS, VDS, and BSAVA).
