This role serves as a perfect stepping stone for an experienced vet to progress into a leadership position and inspire the current team during this exciting phase of growth while influencing the practice's direction.
The purpose-built practice boasts excellent facilities including an operating theatre, three dedicated consultation rooms, a spacious prep area, x-ray room, and isolation block with separate cat and dog kennels.
Equipped with all the necessary tools expected in a solid GP practice, our client is open to discussions regarding additional equipment investment based on the candidate's areas of interest. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Practice Owner and Clinical Lead, alongside a full-time newly qualified vet, an experienced part-time vet, and a dynamic nursing team led by the Practice Manager.
With qualifications from Bristol in 1996, the Practice Owner brings extensive local experience to the table, regularly performing boas surgery. The team also benefits from the support of a traveling orthopaedic surgeon.
Situated conveniently within a short ride from beautiful countryside yet close enough to Birmingham for city life, the practice enjoys access to local amenities and transport links.
In search of a vet with excellent communication skills and solid GP experience in both medicine and surgery, the focus is on finding a new colleague who will actively engage, relish the variety and camaraderie of practice life, and remain dedicated to delivering outstanding care to patients and clients.
The practice offers well-structured days with 15-minute consultations as standard, allowing time for breaks and lunch, along with a daily supply of toast!
Operating hours are from 8:30 am to 7:00 pm Monday to Friday, with the flexibility to consider part-time hours during these times. The practice remains closed on Sundays, and with just 1 in 3 Saturday mornings, the team strives to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
