Our client, a reputable multi-branch veterinary practice, is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Small Animal Vet to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will primarily be based at their consult-only practice, where they will operate in a sole charge capacity. However, the role is distinctly dual-faceted, involving both consultations and surgical operations – with surgeries performed at a separate, fully-equipped sister practice.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform routine examinations, diagnostics, and surgical procedures on small animals.

- Deliver high-quality veterinary care and exceptional client service.

- Maintain detailed medical records and promote preventative care to pet owners.

- Handle a variety of cases and uphold the practice's commitment to animal welfare.

- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff and support team members.

- Work collaboratively with other practice branches in ensuring cohesive care and service delivery.

Qualifications & Requirements:

- A Degree in Veterinary Medicine and a valid license to practice.

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

- A passion for small animal care and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.

- Flexibility in working hours and adaptability to various clinic settings.

Working Hours:

This is a full-time position with a 4-day work week and a requirement to cover 1 in 4 Saturdays. Our client is open to discussions regarding flexible or part-time working options for the right candidate.

Employee Benefits:

- Competitive salary of up to £75,000 depending on experience.

- Case continuity and clinical freedom to make autonomous decisions.

- A supportive environment with excellent opportunities for Continued Professional Development (CPD), including potential support towards further certificates.

- Generous CPD allowance of £2,000.

- All professional memberships and dues covered.

- Pension scheme to help plan for your future.

- Flexibility to buy or sell annual leave days for work-life balance.

Our client is committed to investing in their people, providing a supportive career path, and fostering a culture that values work-life balance. If you are a compassionate Vet with a drive to excel in a stimulating environment, we want to hear from you.
