Job Description:
As a Veterinary Surgeon, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality veterinary services to our patients. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a supportive team, including our Head Nurse, Student Veterinary Nurse (SVN), and Veterinary Care Assistant. You will be responsible for handling a wide range of veterinary duties, ensuring the health and well-being of animals in our care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform surgeries, including routine and complex procedures
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and diagnose medical conditions
- Develop and implement treatment plans for a variety of medical and surgical cases
- Provide dental care and extractions
- Administer vaccinations and preventative care
- Offer advice and education to pet owners on animal care, nutrition, and preventative health
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Work a maximum of one day per week as the sole charge, with support from our Head Nurse, SVN, and Veterinary Care Assistant
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities
