About the Position:
Our client is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Small Animal Veterinarian to join their thriving practice in Southport, Lancashire. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a wide variety of small animal cases within a supportive and well-equipped clinical setting.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality veterinary care to small animals including routine health checks, diagnosis, and treatment of illnesses and injuries.
- Perform surgical procedures with a sound knowledge of emergency surgeries.
- Deliver compassionate customer service, ensuring clear communication with pet owners regarding their animals’ health, treatment plans, and well-being.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
- Work collaboratively with our team of veterinarians, veterinary nurses, care assistants, reception staff, and the Practice Manager to ensure a holistic approach to animal care.
- Take part in the on-call rotation for weekends (1 in 4) to ensure continuous care for our clients and their pets.
Requirements:
- A qualified Veterinarian with the right to practice in the UK.
- Good general surgical and medical skills are essential.
- Experience in emergency surgery is preferable.
- Confidence working sole charge.
- A team player with strong communication skills.
