JR is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join our client’s team in Lurgan. This role is ideal for a vet looking for a flexible opportunity with the possibility of expanding their hours in the future. Our client is also open to fixed-term contracts as well, making this a perfect opportunity for locum vets who desire guaranteed hours while maintaining flexibility.
This is a newly renovated and purpose-built practice and is equipped with the latest veterinary technology with capacity for five vets. The clinic has a long-standing and loyal client base, and an exceptional team who all and work and maintain a supportive and positive atmosphere.
The successful candidate will be responsible for and required to
- Provide high-quality clinical care during consultations, diagnostics, and procedures, ensuring the wellbeing of each patient.
- Maintain clear and compassionate communication with clients, providing updates on patient conditions and treatment plans.
- Develop accurate and customised treatment plans with clear cost estimates for clients.
- Support, mentor, and develop the team, enhancing their skills and ensuring they are utilised in the most effective way.
- Complete thorough clinical handovers and arrange transfer of patients requiring out-of-hours or enhanced care.
- A strong team player, able to work collaboratively in a supportive environment.
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
This is a permanent, part-time role working 1:3 Saturdays (08:00 – 13:00) with additional hours available covering annual leave. However, our client will also consider fixed-term contracts as well, so please do let us know your preferences.
