Are you looking to join a close-knit, supportive veterinary team with a passion for high-quality patient care? We are seeking a General Practice Veterinarian to become part of our client’s RCVS-accredited hospital, where you will enjoy a varied caseload whilst working alongside experienced and specialist-trained colleagues.
You will receive an equal share of consulting, surgical, and inpatient care shifts along with encouragement of case continuity with support and mentorship. There are minimal out-of-hours work – only exceptionally rare call-outs for inpatients and plenty of opportunities for skill development, including ultrasound, dental radiography, laparoscopy, and local anaesthetic techniques.
You will also have access to State-of-the-art facilities, including 8 consulting rooms, with dedicated cat rooms and a private euthanasia suite an In-house laboratory (Idexx Sedivue, biochemistry, haematology, urine sediment analysis), Advanced imaging – 16-slice GE CT scanner, My Lab X7 ultrasound with 21” LED screen, Dental radiography (IM3 CR7 system) & routine nerve blocks for extractions. Expert mentorship & collaboration, including from the Clinical Director with certificates in medicine & dentistry, Vets with certifications in diagnostic imaging & feline medicine, Peripatetic orthopaedic surgeon for complex cases as well as training & support available for all aspects of clinical practice, including Laparoscopy & ultrasound scanning, CT scanner operation and Chemotherapy case management (COP & CHOP protocols).
This is a permanent, full-time role working 38.5 hours a week over 4 days with One night on call for inpatients only and 1:6 weekends. However, our client can be flexible and is happy to consider a part time role for the right candidate, so please do let us know your preferences.
