I am currently working with a hospital in Cardiff who are recruiting for a Veterinary Surgeon with a medicine & imaging bias to join their team.
You’ll get to work with their progressive, enthusiastic and highly committed team providing a seamless 24/7 service to our valued clients in a friendly and supportive environment. The ECC service sees a wide variety of interesting cases, and the facilities available allow most of these to be accommodated in-house rather than having to refer externally.
You will need to be a confident, experienced Vet, with a passion for supporting colleagues’ development.
The Role:
- Salary – up to £70,000 per annum – dependent on experience
- Full-time (part-time considered)
- Work pattern – a 4 day week with one 9 hour weekend shift (Sat OR Sun) every 5 weeks, and one bank holiday shift a year – giving a great work life balance
- Hours – 38.1/wk (includes the weekend + BH shifts)
- No on-call – dedicated night service
- Certificate study/clinical development fully supported
The practice is very well equipped with access to:
- 24/7 inpatient care
- CT Scanner
- Advanced Ultrasonography
- Endosurgery facilities
- Extensive blood analysis equipment- including TEG, blood gases etc
- Dedicated orthopaedic, soft tissue and exotic theatres
