We’re offering a unique opportunity to become Surgical Lead in a well-established and respected small animal hospital in South West London. This full-time position is perfect for someone who wants to drive clinical excellence, take on complex surgical cases, and mentor the next generation of veterinary professionals — all within a supportive and state-of-the-art environment.

- Cutting-Edge Facilities: Work with a full in-house lab, x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, and CT — everything you need to deliver exceptional care.
🩺 What You’ll Be Doing:
- Performing and leading a variety of complex surgical procedures.
- Managing the surgical theatre, equipment, and day-to-day operations.
- Supporting and developing theatre nurses and junior clinical staff.
- Acting as a regional referral point for surgical cases and second opinions.
- Collaborating with the wider veterinary team to maintain high clinical standards.
- Contributing to emergency and critical care services as part of our 24-hour hospital offering.
⏰ Working Pattern:
- 40 hours per week over 4 days
- 1 in 6 weekends (with time off in lieu)
- No regular night shifts – allowing for a great work-life balance
✅ What We’re Looking For
- MRCVS (RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon)
- Confident and capable in soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery
- A natural leader with strong team management and mentoring abilities
- A proactive, organised, and communicative professional
- Passionate about high-quality clinical care and continuous improvement
