Our client - a small animal practice - are recruiting a Veterinary Surgeon to join their talented team.
Our client can be flexible on the number of days and hours per week. Shifts are normally 08.30-18.30 however early and late shifts occur during the hours of 8am and 7pm. There will be a requirement to work some weekends, but this will depend on the amount of hours worked in a week. Current full-time vets work 1 in 5 Saturdays 8am-12.30pm. There are no out of hours involved in this role.
The caseload is small animal including dentistry (including dental x-ray), basic orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, imaging (digital x-ray, new ultrasound machine and endoscopy), medicine, laparoscopic surgery.

The practice currently has 8 Veterinary Surgeons, 11 Nurses and a number of Support staff working variable hours across 3 sites. They currently have a number of certificate holders in our veterinary team (or working towards certificates) including Surgery, Dentistry, Internal Medicine, Imaging and Cardiology. Their close-knit team are friendly, career driven and have a focus on clinical standards, Infection Prevention Control as well as driving to lower the use of antibiotics in practice. Our client offers an excellent package with a competitive salary of up to £75,000 per annum including Private Medical Insurance, £1,250 CPD allowance with 40 hours paid pro rata, BVA VDS and RCVS fees paid, 6.6 weeks annual leave and plenty more.
