With a salary of up to £80,000 (DOE), you'll lead a supportive and progressive team, with clinical freedom and the flexibility to fit your lifestyle.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced vet with leadership skills to take on the Lead Veterinary Surgeon role. You’ll enjoy clinical autonomy, but also have the opportunity to mentor and develop the skills of the team around you. If you’re someone who loves surgery, you'll have the opportunity to take a surgical lead, guiding the team in complex cases.
You’ll need to be a great communicator, capable of building strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike. We are looking for a team player who is keen to lead by example, with a focus on providing the best care for our patients and their owners.
Why This Role?
** Flexible Hours: We can offer a schedule that works for you, whether it's 9am-3pm three days a week, part-time, or full-time. We believe in providing a work-life balance that suits you.
** Surgical Focus: If surgery is your passion, you’ll have the opportunity to spend up to 3 days a week in surgery, leading and guiding the team.
* Supportive Team: You'll head a fantastic team of 6 vets, 10 RVNs, 6 SVNs, and an exceptional receptionist team, ensuring you have everything needed to succeed.
** Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a 1:4 Saturday rota with no Sundays, no out-of-hours (OOH), and no bank holiday work.
The practice is proud to offer a progressive, high-quality service to our clients, with a varied caseload and a commitment to gold standard care. You'll have the freedom to develop your clinical interests and be supported in pursuing certificates or areas of specialisation, particularly in surgery.
There is an experienced team, including Certificate holders in Medicine, Ophthalmology, and close collaboration with specialists in Surgery, Ultrasonography, and Cardiology. With regular Vet meetings and CPD opportunities, they foster an environment of continual learning and improvement.
Key Details and Benefits:
- Up to £80,000 Salary (DOE, FTE)
- 6.6 weeks annual leave, including birthday leave.
- Unlimited CPD with full support for certificates and additional qualifications.
- Professional fees paid (RCVS, VDS).
