Here at JR we are seeking 2 Veterinary Surgeons to join our client’s teams in West Yorkshire, both these roles offers an exciting opportunity for experienced veterinarians to advance their careers. This role is ideal for a confident practitioner with strong clinical skills and leadership capabilities and involves a mix of consultations, case workups, and surgery and requires the ability to manage cases independently and to work sole charge when necessary, you will need to lead by example, providing mentorship, and delivering constructive feedback to colleagues, including new graduates enrolled in the VetGDP Programme whilst fostering a positive work environment through effective communication, and maintaining a supportive and appreciative team. You will be working alongside a team of 14 vets, including specialists and certificate holders in various disciplines. The practice is supported by highly trained RVNs, student nurses, and a permanent VCA trained in bereavement support and are well-equipped with modern technology, including digital X-ray, ultrasound, IM3 dental machine, tonopen, and Abaxis machines. Additional equipment and facilities are available at the nearby Hospital, including endoscopy and advanced monitoring equipment. The leadership teams, currently comprise of a Surgical Director, Practice Director, Practice Manager, Senior Hospital Vet, Head Nurses, and Head Receptionist, all dedicated to fostering a proactive, kind, and improvement-focused environment.
These are Permanent, Full-Time roles working 4 days a week with 1:4 weekends (based at the main hospital) Shift times for this role during the week would be 9am-7pm, with an hour for dinner. The last half hour of the day is appointment free, designated for client call back time, to report labs or follow up on cases etc.
