An opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our client's friendly and cohesive team due to expansion. They would be working alongside 4 other vets, including a Certificate holder in Small Animal Surgery, alongside 5 RVNs, a proficient reception team, and a dedicated practice manager ensuring consistent support, including lunch breaks.

Operating as a Tier 2 RCVS registered practice, consultations typically last 20 minutes with additional time allocated for procedures like euthanasia, blood tests, and dermatological cases. With a small team, there's ample opportunity for case continuity, and a collaborative approach to challenging cases is fostered among the vets. The majority of cases, even complex ones, are managed in-house by their surgery certificate holder or visiting specialists. Regular dedicated phone and admin time is scheduled, and the encouragement and funding for certifications are provided.
They are currently seeking a part-time Veterinary Surgeon for 20 hours a week, consisting of 2 full days with 1 in 3 Saturdays and no OOH or Bank Holidays. Recent adjustments to Saturday opening hours (9am-1pm) aim to support staff in achieving a better work-life balance. Flexible hours and days are negotiable, with set days off provided. They are also open to hiring a CONSULT ONLY vet. Salary is dependent on experience and pro rata up to £60k. Comfort with occasional sole charge and preferably a medical bias are desired traits.
