Equine Feed Brand Veterinary Specialist Officially Ranked As One Of The Best Scientists In The World In Her Field

The SPILLERS™ Brand’s Equine Clinical Nutrition Specialist Pat Harris has been ranked #192 among best scientists in the world for 2024, in the field of animal science and veterinary. Ranked at #20 in United Kingdom, Pat Harris is the sole equine-only scientist on the list, making her #1 ranked scientist working just on horses in the UK.
The information has been released by Research.com, a leading academic platform for researchers, in the 2024 Edition of their Ranking of Best Scientists in the field of Animal Science and Veterinary.
Dr Harris MA, PhD, VetMB, DipECVCN, MRCVS & RCVS Specialist in Veterinary Clinical Nutrition (Equine) is an internationally renowned authority on equine nutrition from both veterinary and academic perspectives. She is head of the Equine Studies Group at Waltham Petcare Science Institute, which underpins the science behind the SPILLERS brand. This Group is dedicated to advancing the science of horse nutrition in collaboration with key research institutes and universities around the world, and to provide the scientific support for Mars Horsecare globally.
To date the WALTHAM™ Equine Studies Group, under Pat’s leadership, and with worldwide collaborators, has published more than 75 peer reviewed research papers in the past 10 years alone relating to the senior horse, obesity, laminitis, insulin dysregulation and weight management.
The ranking is based on the D-index (Discipline H-index) metric, which only includes papers and citation values for an examined discipline and only leading scientists with a D-index of at least 20 for academic publications made in the area of Animal Science and Veterinary.
