This March ‘The Webinar Vet’ (www.thewebinarvet.com) celebrates its first year of delivering high quality CPD, with an incredible 6000 delegates attending the company’s webinars in the last 12 months. And to encourage even more to sample the delights of webinars, The Webinar Vet is offering 100 vets the opportunity to sign up to Individual Gold membership at a saving of £50* a month. The company was founded by vet Anthony Chadwick last year, as a remedy to late nights spent trying to fulfill his CPD requirement at the end of a tiring day in practice, “It’s been just great to find out that other vets felt the same way as I did and are reaping the benefits of easy access to CPD.” Webinars allow speakers to deliver a presentation live on screen over the Internet. There are opportunities to ask questions, just as at any live presentation and the whole session can easily be viewed again at a later date as a refresher. Anthony schedules evening sessions which allow vets to finish evening consulting, have dinner and put the kids to bed, making webinars the ultimate way to deliver the kind of family friendly CPD that vets have needed for years. Anyone attending a webinar hosted by Anthony will soon feel at ease and enjoy the friendly, relaxed format. And as a result, The Webinar Vet has a growing community of enthusiastic members. “I am unbelievably grateful for the opportunity to participate in the live webinars - they have solved a big problem for me as I am a sole practitioner in rural Wiltshire and I can't go far away because of being on-call 24/7. It also relieves the feeling of professional isolation a little bit!” - Penny Gillespie of Cheldene Vets in Marlborough “I am finding the webinars an excellent way of getting CPD - so much more efficient than going to meetings and the refreshments are better, even if I have to pour them myself. With the webinars I have attended more CPD than for years.” - Graham Roberts RSPCA Bradford Vets can enjoy a webinar at The Webinar Vet site for just £35 but many are signing up for regular membership, which provides access to at least 40 member-only webinars through the year and a host of other benefits. Sign up as an individual member and CPD can cost less than £7.50 per hour and even less for practice membership.** There are also many free webinars sponsored by veterinary companies, which provide an ideal way for those new to the technology to dip a toe in the water. Delegates can pop over for a chat with Anthony Chadwick at The Webinar Vet stand at BSAVA congress (stand 819), sign up for a free newsletter and help him celebrate the company’s success. Every day there is a prize draw for a Magnum of Champagne and The Webinar Vet mugs to give away, “Vets have told us that one of the big bonuses of webinars is that you can sit down in your slippers and enjoy a cup of tea (or occasionally something stronger!) with your CPD. No time wasting travel or stressful journeys down the motorway,” says Anthony. “Who could have predicted that CPD could be top-notch, be delivered direct to our homes and at a cost we could easily afford. I’m glad I had that ‘light bulb’ moment because The Webinar Vet is really living up to my expectations and improving access to CPD for thousands of other vets too.” Upcoming webinars available to purchase include:The 21st Century Veterinary Practice Series, which includes the following webinars starting at 8.30pm GMT:*Offer price is individual gold membership for £47 plus VAT per month, compared to the normal price of £97 plus VAT per month, with the offer price fixed for one year. The offer is open to the first 100 registrants only. **Gold individual membership at full price of £470 plus VAT for the year, giving access to at least 67 hours of CPD (not including free webinars).
