The SPILLERS™ brand has announced that it is going to divide a generous donation of £10,000 between five worthy equine charities but is asking the equestrian community to choose which ones most deserve the funds.

The feed manufacturer has produced a shortlist of five charities and is asking the equestrian community to cast votes for their favourites. Voting closes on 8 November and the winners will be announced shortly afterwards.

The initiative is a part of the brand’s commitment to supporting the welfare and wellbeing of horses, ponies and the people that care for them.

“At SPILLERS we believe in the importance of giving back to the equine community that inspires us every day,” said Claire Dyett, Marketing Manager at Mars Horsecare, home of the SPILLERS brand. “We want you, our valued community, to help decide how our £10,000 donation should be allocated. We have shortlisted five charities that support and enrich the lives of equines and those who care for them. Please help us by casting your vote for the one you believe to be the most deserving.”

The five charities are:

·      Brooke Action for Working Horses and Donkeys, an international charity dedicated to protecting the lives of working equines.

·      Injured Jockeys Fund which has provided vital support to injured jockeys and their families for nearly six decades.

·      The Riding for the Disabled Association which supports over 22,500 disabled adults and children each year with riding, carriage driving and non-ridden experiences.

·     Redwings Horse Sanctuary, a charity committed to rescuing abandoned, mistreated and neglected equines across the UK.

·      Riders Minds, a vital online resource dedicated to supporting the mental health of equestrians in the UK.
