Feed Manufacturer’s Industry Survey Aims To Improve Understanding Of Equine Obesity

The SPILLERS™ brand is appealing to anyone who works in the equestrian industry to complete a short survey, to help them gain further insight on equine obesity in the UK. Everyone who participates will have the chance to win £250 Love2Shop vouchers.
The initiative is part of the SPILLERS brand’s broad-reaching educational and practical work, via the SPILLERS Slimmers' Club, which now supports more than 11,000 horse owners with safe and effective weight loss strategies and encouragement.
The SPILLERS Slimmers’ Club was launched three years ago to help address the problem of equine obesity in a positive way. It provides practical support and camaraderie for owners of overweight horses and ponies, to aid them on their weight loss journey. The intention with the industry survey is to build further knowledge from industry professionals about how they and their clients perceive the problem of obesity and how positive changes can be made to reduce its prevalence.
“As part of our commitment to building a well-informed equestrian community, we are calling out to those who work with horses day in, day out to share their knowledge and views on equine obesity,” said Bella Fricker, Project Lead at Mars Horsecare, home of the SPILLERS brand. “We hope that by working together we can elicit positive change, working towards our aim of combating equine obesity in the UK by 2035.”
“Your participation in our survey will not only enrich our understanding of the multifaceted issues surrounding equine obesity but also provide actionable recommendations for effective intervention strategies.”
The results of the survey will be made publicly available via the SPILLERS brand’s website, serving as a comprehensive resource for promoting awareness and advocacy around equine welfare. Responses to the survey will remain anonymous.
Everyone who participates in the survey will be entered into a draw to win £250 Love2Shop vouchers.
