Innovative Reception Pods Provide Unique Welcome At Willows
A leading West Midlands veterinary centre has taken a unique approach to ensuring pets and their owners receive the very best care from the moment they arrive at the state-of-the art hospital.
The renowned Willows Veterinary Centre and Referral Service, in Solihull, has embraced 21st Century design and client feedback to completely remodel its reception area in what is thought to be an industry first.
Visitors are now greeted by three pet-friendly pods to make the initial sign-in process a more relaxed process for animals and humans alike. There’s also a more discreet desk position nearby for payment and insurance purposes to give privacy for clients.
Tracey Morley Jewkes, hospital director at Willows, which is part of the Linnaeus Group, said: “It may seem like an unusual approach but it is all about offering the best possible pet and client experience here at Willows.
“It’s much more user-friendly for everyone concerned. Our receptionists can see and greet two-legged and four-legged visitors in a far more open and connected way.
“There’s a lot more room for our clients to complete any paperwork that’s required and each pod is equipped with its own laptop, so clients can check in together with the receptionist
“The laptops also mean we have the flexibility to go and sit with a client in the waiting room if that’s easier for either them or their pet, making their experience with us much more relaxed from the moment they arrive.
“It’s a better experience for our reception team members, too, so the whole redesign has proved a very worthwhile investment, as well as being an industry first as part of Willows’ commitment to excellence and innovation.”
