The CPD sessions are first come, first served, and are expected to be well attended, so please get there early!

Dechra will also be sponsoring two of the main equine programme sessions at LVS.  Between 10:30 and 11:20 on Thursday 14 November, Nicola Menzies-Gow MA VetMB PhD DipECEIM CertEM(IntMed) FHEA FRCV, professor of equine medicine at Royal Veterinary College (RVC) will be presenting ‘Evidence-based management of PPID and EMS’ in RVC Equine Theatre 2, while Philip Ivens MA VetMB Cert EM (Int. DipECEIM MRCVS European and RCVS Specialist in Equine Internal Medicine, managing director of Buckingham Equine Vets will be presenting ‘Management of strangles on a yard’ between 13:30 and 14:20 in RVC Equine Theatre 1.

During LVS, visitors to Dechra’s stand (stand P30) will be able to learn more about the company’s extensive otitis externa range which includes three first-line treatments consistent with the BSAVA/SAMSoc PROTECT ME guidelines which encourage a move away from using antimicrobials for all first-line cases, and use of appropriate antimicrobials, where these are required.  There will be several interactive elements on the stand including a ‘Loud and clear, we’re all ears’ augmented reality (AR) screen enabling an assortment of ears to appear on the heads of delegates on displays with the opportunity to download the image via a QR code.  An interactive memory game will also take place on the stand.  Delegates are guaranteed a prize by playing the game and learning more about first-line treatment options from matching the pairs on the touchscreen displays.
