It's that time of year again when we think about our favourite pets and what we can do to help them. Worryingly, last year we received reports that many rabbits were becoming flyblown: a potentially fatal condition where flies lay eggs upon a rabbit and the eggs then hatch into maggots, which rapidly mature and eat into the living flesh within 24 hours.
That's why we've decided to focus this year's campaign on Flystrike. We've produced a number of campaign materials including a press release and a leaflet explaining all about this distressing and preventable condition.
Here's what you can do to help:4203 views

- Download the poster here, leaflet here and press release here and take it along to your local pet store asking them to pin the poster up in a prominent place.
- Take the poster along to your vets, and ask them to consider stocking the RWF Flystrike leaflets (also available by calling 0870 046 5249).
- Take a copy of the poster and leaflet to a local school and ask the headmaster/mistress to highlight this condition to the children.
- Download a copy of the press release and send to your local Newspaper/TV/Radio station.
