VETS are being invited to enjoy CPD combined with diving in Egypt’s Red Sea at the Society of Practising Veterinary Surgeons (SPVS) second annual Scubascene, which takes place between June 6 and 13.
While last year’s event - which attracted over thirty delegates - was based out of a hotel in Sharm El Sheikh, practitioners this year will be able to enjoy CPD on the ocean waves aboard the luxurious ‘Typhoon’ boat complete with its own restaurant, entertainment room and diving deck.
CPD will include veterinary endoscopy and endosurgery by Phillip Lhermette, BVetMed, BSc, CBiol, MI Biol, MRCVS and ‘making the most of your practice manager’ by Rebekka Fiorani. Delegates can also enjoy five days of reef and wreck diving time.
Course organiser Jacqui Molyneux explained: “Last year’s Scubascene, our first ever diving-type event, was a sell-out, and many people have signed up again this year. It’s a fantastic opportunity to benefit from some first-class CPD while having a go at diving at one of the world’s most beautiful sites.”
