Learn how to manage and reconstruct wounds effectively on this practical course. First we’ll review the approach to the open wound, concentrating on the key objectives to achieve at each stage of wound healing. We will then demonstrate a practical approach to surgical closure from the pre-surgical planning to successful execution. We will focus on techniques available to general practitioners from straightforward local closure to the options for the more challenging cases. The course will be full of practical tips but will also give you a deep understanding of the requirements for open wound management or planned surgical wound closure.
