Vets For Pets: Extensive Basildon Pitsea Refurbishment Unveiled
Last Friday (18th), Basildon pet owners were invited down to see the completed refurbishment and rebrand of Vets for Pets Basildon Pitsea 24-hour hospital as part of a celebratory event. The practice has been open to customers throughout the renovation, but the veterinary team were thrilled to finally showcase their state-of-the-art facilities and new look, after the practice underwent the refurbishment as part of Pets at Home’s ongoing business-wide rebrand.
Vets for Pets Basildon Pitsea now offers:
- A new exotic ward providing even better facilities for scaly, furry or feathered patients.
- A new cat ward (Silver ISFM accredited), to make visiting the practice as stress-free as possible for customers and their cat.
- An expanded dog ward meaning even more room for four legged friends – plus separate dog and cat wards designed to ensure everyone is as comfortable as possible.
- A new MRI scanner to further enhance our existing non-invasive diagnostic imaging facilities.
- A range of rehabilitation services to help pets recover from surgery, injuries, and on-going conditions including hydrotherapy and physiotherapy.
- Ophthalmology services help diagnose and treat conditions associated with the eyes.
- A dedicated dental suite to help keep teeth in tip-top condition.
- Dedicated isolation suite and outpatient suites.
- Dedicated client lift for pets or clients who have difficulty accessing the stairs, as well as ground level consult rooms.
Both existing and new customers were invited to attend the event on Friday, which offered exclusive behind the scenes tours and opportunities to meet members of the veterinary team. The day also provided fun for visiting children too, with a range of activities available including the chance to meet some of the pets and exotic animals.
Dr Shola Idowu, Practice Owner and Head Veterinary Surgeon at Vets for Pets Basildon Pitsea, said: “We’ve had such a fantastic day today and it’s been great for everyone to finally see the full renovation in all its glory. With these facilities, including a wide range of advanced services, we can now offer our patients a more holistic approach to their treatment as we can continue to provide the best care possible to all the pets we look after.”
