Zoetis Inc. today announced today that it is making it easier for equine vets to stay up to speed with their continuing professional development (CPD) with the addition of four new equine CPD modules to their online Veterinary Learning Centre. The e-learning modules are available to all equine vets via VetSupport+ website, the gateway to a range of innovative digital tools from Zoetis to support veterinary practices.

Four equine-related CPD courses, written by Dr Wendy Talbot, RCVS and European Specialist in Equine Internal Medicine, have been added to the Zoetis Learning Centre:

·       Basic Worming

·       Autumn and Winter Worming

·       Spring and Summer Worming

·       Equine Gastric Ulceration Syndrome.

Each course is interactive and is rounded off with a quick quiz so that vets can test their knowledge and download a CPD certificate. The courses can be taken from home or from the practice to help busy equine vets achieve their required CPD hours at a pace that suits them.

The Zoetis Learning Centre is accessed via the company’s VetSupport + portal which provides a wide array of innovative practice support tools. From here practice staff can send emails and SMS messages to clients. In addition they can track practice performance on penetration of vaccinations and various dental and gastroscopy procedures. The portal also hosts the HorseDialog practice app dashboard where practice staff can manage their practice’s app settings and information, view horses’ details and send in-app messages.
