Unlock Expert Knowledge On Cushing’s Syndrome In Dogs With Complimentary Webinar
The launch of Trilotab®, the first chewable, flavoured and divisible trilostane tablet to treat Cushing’s syndrome in dogs, is an opportunity to make the treatment of hyperadrenocorticism (HAC) easier for both clinicians and pet owners.
Despite being one of the most common endocrine diseases in dogs, affecting approximately 1-2 dogs per 1,0001, Cushing’s syndrome can often be difficult to diagnose due to non-specific clinical signs and the lack of a single, highly accurate test. As a result prevalence of the disease is expected to be much higher than reported. Treatment with trilostane also requires ongoing monitoring to tailor the dose to the individual pet.
To support clinicians in diagnosing and managing this complex condition, Virbac is pleased to offer a complimentary CPD webinar, ‘Catching Cushing’s and Managing Cases with Confidence’, on Tuesday 26th November 2024 at 8pm.
Presented by renowned specialist in veterinary endocrinology, Professor Carmel Mooney FRCVS, the webinar will equip veterinary surgeons with the knowledge and tools to confidently diagnose and treat Cushing’s syndrome and learn the essentials of monitoring trilostane therapy.
Professor Carmel Mooney is an EBVS® European Veterinary Specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine and an RCVS Recognised Specialist in Small Animal Medicine (Endocrinology). She is currently Clinical Director of the University College Dublin Veterinary Hospital, Director of the ECVIM-CA residency programme and Director of the DVMS Professional Doctorate Programme within the School of Veterinary Medicine. Professor Mooney has published widely in the field of small animal endocrinology with over 80 original articles, reviews and case reports published in peer-reviewed journals, four books as joint editor and 30 book chapters.
