Virbac Introduces NEW VETERINARY HPM® Digestive Support Wet Diets – Effective Nutritional Management For Both Digestive Issues & Convalescence

Virbac is pleased to announce the launch of NEW VETERINARY HPM® Digestive Support wet diets, two new clinical diets (one for dogs and one for cats) for the nutritional management of both digestive issues and convalescence in a single product.
The range is also the only wet range to provide separate species-specific dog and cat convalescence diets, tailoring nutritional restoration to the unique nutritional needs of both species.
Digestive issues are the 3rd most common reason for a vet consultation1 and nutritional management forms a key part of any treatment plan. In dogs with digestive issues, VETERINARY HPM® Digestive Support has been shown to work quickly, with 86% of dogs improved in just one week2.
In keeping with VETERINARY HPM®’snutritional philosophy, the new diets are high in protein and low in carbohydrate. Key features of the new diets include:
- High digestibility: 87% digestibility for proteins and 97% for fats to limit the workload of the digestive tract and promote nutrient absorption
- Low carbohydrate content: prioritising the nutritional needs of dogs and cats as carnivores with a maximum of 6% energy coming from carbohydrates
- Proven palatability: highly palatable formulations, with a mousse texture and rich in animal protein, to encourage food intake with 97% consumption in dogs3
- High energy density: 144kcal/100g for dogs & 136kcal/100g for cats to provide smaller, energy dense rations
The new VETERINARY HPM® Digestive Support wet diets can be used alone, or combined with the VETERINARY HPM® Digestive Support dry diets, with a suggested 50/50 split for optimal benefits.
