Lights, Camera, Action! Two Yorkshire Practices Star In TV Show
Two Yorkshire veterinary practices have featured on a popular children’s TV series on Channel 5.
Linnaeus-owned Wicstun Veterinary Group in Market Weighton and Abbey House Veterinary Hospital in Morley have played a starring role in Animal Care Club on Milkshake!
Milkshake! is aimed at pre-school children and the programmes features children taking part in animal care work, chaperoned by trusted adults.
Will Taylor, senior vet at Wicstun Veterinary Group, and who is in one of the episodes, said: “It was great fun having the Milkshake! gang filming at our veterinary practice. Animal Care Club is a fantastic programme which encourages eager young cadets to help pets and other animals.”
Daisy Roe, clinical director at Abbey House Veterinary Hospital and who also made a TV appearance, said: “It was lights, camera, action at Abbey House and we were delighted to feature on this fun and informative programme.”
At Wicstun Veterinary Group, the cameras followed a ferret who was in for an operation and a dog with a sore ear who needed drops to make it better, while at Abbey House Veterinary Hospital, the action saw a rabbit coming in for his vaccinations and a puppy health check, plus much more.
